This is the beginning of blogging my photography journey. It’s my first attempt at blogging, so I’ll be learning as I go. What I hope to do is to share my photography with all of you, and tell the stories behind the pictures. What I mostly shoot is wildlife, with an emphasis on urban wildlife as I live in a large city. While I can’t travel to far away exotic places to capture wild animals, I have learned to see the amazing wildlife that is all around me, in the city, and in nearby nature preserves.
Right now, as we are heading into fall, my journey finds me at a local garden where the hummingbirds are resting before their migration to warmer climates. I love these tiny dancers, and have been thrilled to capture them with my camera! They are incredibly tiny and incredibly fast! They can be hard to capture at times. I find myself waiting and watching and then suddenly they just seem to appear from out of nowhere to collect the sweet nectar that fuels them for flight.
“Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
